First and foremost –
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!
Yes – today we celebrated my mom! We started with breakfast with my mom, brother at one of our favorite local places, Magoo’s. We all got mom these great cards and made mom wear her princess crown the whole day! Isn’t she pretty!
So after breakfast I took mom to get her scream on – ok that’s what I told her. See, she’s got this teensy, weensy, tiny, insignificant fear of heights. So I told her we were going to bungee jump from the Stratosphere Casino. For those that don’t know, the Stratosphere is the tallest building in Vegas and has rides at the very top! (to be perfectly honest you wouldn’t catch me up there for a million bucks – but that’s besides the point) Anyways, I actually was taking her to get a pedicure! It was fun!

Swim time!!! Our next door neighbors finally had a housewarming party and invited us over to BBQ and swim. It was a great time. Ethen is soooo brave swimming now… he totally jumps and slides into the pool. Last summer he refused to get his head under water – not this year – he even let Jonathon THROW him in the pool! AWESOME!
From top left corner clockwise: Falling backwards, standing on float, playing with friend, getting read to jump, jumping (3 ft. above water), falling backwards again, Jonathon throwing Ethen into pool.

I had to leave early for a very special baptism. I teach the CTR7 class in Primary on Sunday’s and 2 of my kiddos were baptized today, Charity and Quincy Terry (cousins). It was a fabulous service and I am so excited to be a part of this time in their lives!
Left – Right: Me, Quincy, Charity, Dakota (Charity’s sister, she will be in my class next year)

Last, but certainly not least, we were off to Red Rock Casino to see…
It was pretty good, of course Matter made the movie! Of course Ethen totally loved it (and Jonathon was rolling in the isles!!!) I would have expected a packed theater for the 6:30 showing on opening weekend – but I bet it wasn’t even half full! Well Ethen is sleeping sound now and we have an early day tomorrow. We are attending church at our old ward for the welcome home of our friend from his mission to New Zealand. Will be great to see old friends again!
