Father & Sons Campout

On Friday (May17, 2013) after we finished our field trip to the Boulder City Splash park (read about it HERE) we came home and got ready for the Father and Son’s Ward Campout. The guys were heading out to Knob Hill for some overnight fun!

Jonathon was gracious enough (more like threatened with bodily harm if he didn’t) to get me some pictures!

Ethen was ready to go and loved that he got to ride in daddy’s van!

After the long day it’s no wonder that Ethen crashed!

This is the top of Knob Hill – and yes Ethen took to immediately climbing it! Jonathon said that he hadn’t seen Ethen for a few minutes so he called out to him…

After the second or third call he hears Ethen say “I’M UP HERE!!!” Jonathon looks up and Ethen was pretty much at the top of this rock formation! Thankfully he wasn’t hurt and mommy wasn’t there – I think I would have freaked out! I know that he’s a boy and will explore but why does it always have to be something DANGEROUS!!!

Field Trip Time

Today Robert Taylor Kindergarten classes went to the Boulder City Veteran’s Memorial Park today for some fun in the sun. Well – it was supposed to be sunny – but it was cloudy and windy and a bit too chilly to play in the water. The kids did NOT seem to mind though!

When we first arrived we walked to the pond to feed the ducks and look at the fish

Check out the size of these Koi! They had to be at least a foot long!

This nice man caught this catfish right as we arrived and was nice enough to show the kids – some were brave enough to touch it!!! But Ethen wasn’t!!!

A race back to the playground and splash pad area!!! Ready… Set…

Ethen was a little cold – so he huddled inside his towel… So cute!

We left a little early so Ethen could get ready for the Father & Son campout with the church. He has been so excited for this! He and Jonathon wanted to wear their cammies – so Ethen got ready (sleeves rolled by yours truly – I still got it!!!) while we waited for Jonathon to get off work!

Daddy & Me Day!!!

I have to show this picture from Friday, June 22. My brother took us all to see Brave – really cute if you haven’t seen it yet! I love Merida – and her hair!

Yesterday, June 23, Ethen had a special treat, a whole day with his hero, daddy! While they were out – THIS was me with the Girls Camp Crud (I can’t believe I’m actually going to show this)

Anyways – while I was home sick they boys were out having a great day! Here was the agenda:

1. Skate park.
2. Lunch at Mexi grill @Galleria mall.
3. Putt putt @ King Putt.
4. Laser tag.
5. Changing some air filters.
