I can hardly believe that this school year is over. Tomorrow is the last, official, day of school. Today the Kindergarten classes at Robert Taylor had their “graduation”! It was great! The kids all sang and signed (with American Sign Language) the Celine Dion hit “Because You Loved Me”. It was fantastic!

I am so proud of Ethen and the hard work that he’s done this year! Ethen worked so hard and became one of the top students in his class. He earned many accomplishments ahead of many in his class. I am excited, and reluctant, for 1st grade! After the ceremony we took Ethen to IHOP for some breakfast.

Now we are off to Chuck E Cheese for some fun at the kiddy casino! Lil’man rocked it and earned a whopping 435 tickets with a bonus card with 20 tickets – 455 total! SWEET!!!

After our celebration we ran some errands and got some things for the summer. My hope is to reduce the “summer gap” and prepare Ethen for 1st grade. Thankfully, with the help of a 1st grade teacher friend of mine, and some fun hand outs from the school, that will be easier to accomplish. The plan is to have him do some work everyday focused on reading, writing and math. I’m excited and so is he!
