Last night we went to dinner at Chili’s for my birthday! It wasn’t too big of a deal – just some of my favorite people in the world. Joining Jonathon, Ethen and I was my brother Jason and mother, Teresa! So excited!
As I was opening a gift from Jonathon and Ethen (a heart shaped necklace with a mother holding a child) I was told “that is you and that’s me” by Ethen! So sweet!
Look at all this stuff… man my family spoils me!!! Thanks everyone!
One of my favorite gifts from mom. A painting of “Superman with his mom” with a poem that reads…
“Last week I fought a dragon strong Then climbed a castle wall. Too bad I fell from off the roof Mom’s flowers broke my fall. Yesterday I sailed to sea With pirates at the door. Too bad the tub was just too small To keep the ocean off the floor. Today I launched a rocket to The moon for Mom to see. Too bad the wheel came flying off and so I skinned my knee. But mom was there to pick me up And make me fell alright. Then sent me out to save the world And put my cape on tight. Someday I’ll grow and fly away Little doesn’t last for long. But when I’m big I won’t forget Even superman needs a mom.”
AWE!!! I love my little super hero!!! Thanks mom!!!
I work for an amazing boss. Dr. Kaminsky gave me this for Ethen! A HALLOWEEN BASKET!!!
Today I decided to go ahead and do early voting, since next Tuesday isn’t going to be an easy day to go vote. I also thought it was an important opportunity to teach Ethen about the importance of voting.
Voting is our constitutional right, given to us by our founding father. A right it is – but it is also an obligation. How are we to shape this great nation and the world if we don’t vote! We have the opportunity to voice our opinions. If we don’t vote – we have no right to complain about the elected officials or the items that were on the ballot that will affect our lives! This year we vote for the next President of the United States. There are many issues being presented during this campaign that affect millions of people. It is our responsibility to not just vote for anyone because that’s the popular thing to do. Sometimes doing what’s right – means standing alone. Being an informed voted is imperative!
Ethen went with me through the WHOLE voting process, from check in to check out! As we were at the voting center he helped me select the appropriate boxes (I brought my voting booklet that I had pre-marked with my votes). Even earned an “I Voted” sticker. Just think, in 12 years he will be able to cast a vote of his own!
If you can’t do early voting – Please vote on November 6th. If you don’t believe that your vote counts – think again! Not voting for the person you DO want is like voting for the person you DON’T want!
