This afternoon I sent Jonathon and Ethen to the store for some much needed toilet paper (yes I know – I FAIL as a wife by not keeping a good stock of the stuff – but HEY – whatever!)
Meet Cedrick Hardman. Hardman attended and played college football at North Texas State University (now University of North Texas) where he set a record breaking 38 sacks in he senior year. He was also All-Missouri Valley Conference football defensive lineman. Hardman was drafted in 1970 to the NFL with the 9th overall in the first round!
He played from 1970 – 1979 for the San Francisco 49rs. During this time he recorded 120 sacks and was a Pro-Bowler in 1971 and 1975! In 1980 he went to play for the Oakland Raiders, in turn played in Super Bowl XV (which the Raiders won against the Philadelphia Eagles 27 –10).
This guy had an AMAZING career!
This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment! All for a trip to the store for toilet paper!
