As you can imagine this month has been pretty busy and boy has the time flown by! I can't believe it's the 27th!!! With our new schedule for school, work, karate, church... I feel like I'm running ragged!
So here's some of the top stories that have happened THIS month!
Last Wednesday - September 19th Ethen wanted to help me cook supper. I guess he wanted to add his own "flavor" and sliced his thumb trying to cut a yellow bell pepper. I don't think I'll look at my paring knife or yellow peppers the same ever again! It was a pretty deep laceration and I was concerned that tendons or ligaments were involved. He wouldn't move it for me so off to the Emergency Room we went! Thankfully this happened right during rush hour causing the freeway to be packed and everyone moving like a snail through molasses - did you catch that sarcasm! Not only was there heavy traffic but someone almost rear-ended me while we were in route! Thankfully we made it safely - it took us about 20 minutes though! Good thing no one was having a heart attack or something!
Here's a snapshot of Ethen's war wound! This just looks awful because it's all macerated (the white area caused by moisture.) The doctor glued it down but the the glue is super sensitive to moisture and didn't stay closed. Fearing a possible infection I contacted Dr. Fraser, the specialist who treated Ethen's broken arm. She didn't think there was anything to really worry about - bandaged him up and we were on our way!
A week and a half later the wound is staying closed and looking great! He's such a good healer!
I need to post about this cat that we have! I don't post much about him but this one is too good to pass up! This cat LOVES to climb - not too unusual for cats but I didn't realize we had a tight rope walker for a cat!
Not only does he do tricks but I believe he is a dog in a cat's body. This cat chases and attacks his tail!
No he's not stuck, nor did Jonathon or I put him like this! He saw his tail and pounced! Silly Gideon!
Ok... back to my Lil'man! Ethen is receiving his first academic award at school! I am so very proud of this kid! I see great things for his future!!!
Well that's about it for this month! I will probably do much better in October... the holiday season is upon us! MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Wonder what Ethen is going to be for Halloween... Stay tuned to find out!!!
